A highly valued natural oil extracted from the Argania Spinosa plant, which grows exclusively in the semi-desert regions of Morocco.
Also known as "desert gold," this oil has a very rich chemical composition (linoleic acid, vitamins A and E, polyphenols). One of its main characteristics is that it absorbs very quickly and, despite being an oil, leaves no greasy residue, making even the most devitalized hair look soft and shiny.
Thanks to vitamin E and antioxidants, it is also beneficial for helping to maintain moisture levels in scalps prone to extreme dryness and flaking, helping to reduce the feeling of flakiness.

Your clean start with the Curly Girl Method. Reset Shampoo – a deep-cleansing shampoo (also known as a final wash) that removes silicone buildup, product residue, and impurities. Unlike harsh deep-cleansing shampoos, this formula cleans effectively while leaving curls soft and shiny.
Why your curls need this
Silicone and heavy styling product buildup coat the hair, blocking moisture absorption and weighing down curls – hair becomes dull and lifeless, and curls lose their shape. Reset Shampoo removes this barrier, allowing the hair to absorb moisture once again.
Benefits
Key Ingredients
Sodium Coco-Sulfate – a milder coconut-derived sulfate that effectively removes silicones without excessive drying. Papaya fruit ferment extract naturally breaks down buildup. Avocado oil and acerola extract (Vitamin C) nourish the hair during washing. Radish root ferment and Vitamin E support scalp health.
Important: this is not a daily shampoo
This is the only Pretty Curly Girl product containing a sulfate – a conscious choice, as sulfates are necessary to remove silicone buildup. The formula is free from silicones, parabens, drying alcohols, and waxes.
Vegan, cruelty-free | Made in the Netherlands
Who it is for
Those starting the Curly Girl Method or switching from products containing silicones. Suitable for all curl types (2A–4C) when hair feels weighed down, coated, and no longer absorbs moisture.

The first step of the PCG-5 "Curl Repair" routine. Clarifying Shampoo deeply cleanses hair of styling product buildup, oils, and impurities, giving curls a fresh start. This is a salon-quality Pretty Curly Girl line enriched with amino acids and peptides.
Benefits
Why sulfates are a conscious choice here
Sulfates are essential for removing silicones and heavy styling product buildup – without them, the hair remains coated and cannot absorb moisture. This shampoo is not for daily use: use it when you need to "reset" your curls. For daily washing, choose PCG-5 Gentle Shampoo.
PCG-5 routine
1. Clarifying Shampoo (this product) → 2. Gentle Shampoo → 3. Bond Building Hair Mask → 4. Curl Repair Leave-in → 5. Peptide Flaxseed Gel
